Lesson 16 – Do what you love, drop what you don’t

Hey guys! Welcome to Do What You Love and Drop What You Don’t Love.

How many of you are doing what you absolutely love to do, on a day-to-day basis? I get asked a lot of questions—that’s just the nature of my job, the nature of what I do, and it is totally fine. But 99% of those questions would not be asked if my audience (you guys) did what you love to do on a day-to-day basis, and even on a minute-by-minute basis, if you can master that.

If you do what you love to do and drop the things you don’t love to do, so much of the spiritual quest, so much of the seeking, so much of the striving, so much of the struggle, so much of the contradiction, so much of the resistance, simply would not be there. Why? Because quite literally, you would not be resisting your own desire to create life in a certain way.

We send out one thing, we desire one thing, but then we do something else—we fight with ourselves. Whenever we desire something, we naturally imagine it and we start to attract it into our lives. But the nature of our belief system—which is filled with lack and limitation and linear reality and beliefs about the government and social security, and things that have been taught by our parents about how to live a responsible life—all these things play their part in our choices; in how we act and how we move through life.

Even though we keep attracting to ourselves the reality we actually desire on the non-physical imaginative plane, we also keep resisting that reality. We keep postponing it by believing we are not worthy, by believing we can’t do what we want to do, by believing we don’t have the means, the resources, the money; by believing there is not enough to go around for everyone, by believing we have to suffer in order to achieve things, and so on.

All those beliefs play their part. They affect the clarity of our free will. They don’t affect free will itself, but they affect the clarity of our free will. And then we start opposing ourselves, resisting ourselves. So much of our day-to-day struggle comes from simply not doing what we love to do.

So, learn to follow the breadcrumb trail of excitement by dropping the things you don’t love to do. Learn to drop what you don’t love to do. If something feels like a heavy responsibility, then (a) it is not yours and / or (b) you have defined it in an overly-negative way and you are lingering on the idea: “This is not working… this is not working… this is not working…” Resistance can come from either of these definitions: being out of alignment and / or being of a negative, complaining nature.

You can see the things you have to do as fun, as well, but even when you have changed your definition, making it as much fun as you can make it, if it still does not resonate, if you still don’t like what you are doing and it is very clear that it does not resonate with you, simply learn to drop it like it’s hot. It’s hot, it’s in your hands, it burns—drop it. The same thing applies with a job, with a partner, with a business, with a project, with an excitement that no longer excites you, with a hobby that is no longer your passion, with a sport you no longer feel comfortable with, and so on.

If you don’t absolutely love to do something, then don’t do it. It is very important that you start to learn this habit, because it is a habit. We have simply habituated ourselves into a resistant way of living, where we constantly resist our own creations, our own desires.

When we start to do what we love to do, when we learn to embody this principle of the breadcrumb trail more fully and act every second, every minute, every hour, every day on what excites us the most, what makes us feel alive, what makes us come into our own, what makes us feel powerful and potent and like we are creators and not beggars, not victims, but powerful co-creators—when we do what makes us feel powerful and co-creative and empowered—then we are in alignment with the nature of what our Higher Selves desire to express through our body-mind individuation.

When you do what you love to do, you are not being selfish, you are actually listening; you are actually being selfless enough to take a moment to listen to your Higher Self’s guidance. Because that is how it guides us—through desire, through resonance, through what feels good.

We have got to learn to embrace what feels good and to simply avoid what does not feel good. And by “avoidance,” I don’t mean absolute avoidance. I simply mean not lingering on the things that don’t work; not having our focus and our attention repeatedly confirm, “Oh, this is not fun. I don’t want to do this; this is not working,” and then continuing to do it.

If you notice that something is not of your resonance, be swift about it, be firm about it, be concise about it, be precise about it—clear up your vibratory state, your frequencies. Know that it is something you don’t desire to do and respectfully and with appreciation say, “Thank you, but no thank you. I am going to choose this vibratory state instead. With this vibratory state comes this action, which gives me joy, and a way to share my joy.”

Homework

For this lesson’s homework, I want you to take a close look at your life and make a list of all the things you don’t like to do; all the things you don’t feel like doing. This list can be as long as you want to make it. As a guide, I would say most people can come up with about 20 to 50 things. Anywhere within that range would be good, but at least 10 things that you really no longer want to do.

Most of you probably have more than that for your list. That’s OK; write them down if they are there. Write down everything you feel heavy about, everything you feel requires a negative type of responsibility that does not make you thrive—any type of responsibility that feels heavy, that weighs you down, anything you simply don’t want to do, but you do it because you believe you have to. Write these down. Again, make the list as long as you want.

After this, make another list and write down all the things you would love to do. Keep expanding on this; expand your imagination. Include things that perhaps you hadn’t thought of from your limited, vibratory, timeline state. Because now that you have shifted timelines, now that you have chosen to be able to perceive more of who you truly are, you are able to more swiftly change your vibratory state, and with that, your timeline reality experience.

The more you master your state of being, the more you allow yourself to change rapidly; to expand and download more intuitive information about who you are, what your passions are, and what you can be or are excited about.

So, write a list of all the things you would love to do, but perhaps don’t do. Make the list as long as you like. Include the things you are already doing—or are doing to an extent—that you are excited about, that feel really good when you do them. And also write down the things you would love to do but don’t yet allow yourself to do fully.

Once you have completed your two lists, spend some time comparing them, by going back and forth between them, reading them over. Then, what I want you to do is to read through some of the negative things on your first list, the things you don’t want to do, and start scratching out the ones you are comfortable with dropping right away.

For some of them, you may feel like, “Oh, but they have to be done…” If they have to be done, simply find a way to have them done by someone else who wants to do them, or by paying someone to do them, or by any other means you can find for you to be able to stop doing these things.

Before you get into the specifics and into the belief systems of, “Oh, I can’t do this. I can’t just drop this…” find those things that feel very easy for you to drop, from your list of negative things you no longer want to do. Simply scratch through them and commit yourself to no longer doing these things.

See what feels easy to drop, and just drop them, scratch them out. “OK, great! I no longer have to do this; I am no longer going to do this. I am precise about my vibration, and this does not excite me at all. I have been doing this for 20 years, and I no longer want to do it. Someone else can do it, or maybe it doesn’t need to be done at all. It is just an illusion to believe it needs to be done; I can create so much more through being excited. I waste so much time on this thing. Easy! I don’t have to do this, I can safely let go of this. I want to let go of this. I will let go of this (scratch!).

Do this with the whole list of the things you no longer want to do. When you have finished, there are bound to be a few items left on your list that you do not believe you can immediately drop. You have scratched out everything you feel easy about, and you are left with the things that feel slightly harder.

We can still make two gradations with what is left. Let’s say there are those things for which you feel like, “Yeah, I could drop them, but in order to drop them I need to arrange for this and that to happen first.” And then there is the layer of things that you really believe, “No, I can’t drop this, because if I drop this all hell will break loose,” or “I will be lacking things,” and so on.

You have moved from the first layer of, “Oh, easy! I can drop this; I’m going to drop this. I am done with it,” on to the second layer of things that feel slightly harder, that feel like, “I could potentially drop this. I know I can drop this, other people have dropped this and found ways to make it work. I simply have to arrange for a nanny, or ask my husband for help, or simply deal with the belief that I have to do this thing—even though, perhaps I don’t need to do this thing.”

This is quite an extensive workout mentally, but try to do it. Try to do all of this, because it will serve you tremendously. Go through your list and notice which things stand out as, “Yes, I can change them, but not immediately. First I need to do this, first I need to change my belief system, first I need to attract more money…” and so on.

Write each of these down again. Separate them from the list; put them in a clearly separate list. Then, use your ability to change your vibratory state, and overwhelm each item with a new type of vibratory state. Project love, lightness, joy, light-heartedness, and freedom onto the things you are not sure you can drop.

And as you do this, one item at a time, be really open to the intuition or creativity that can occur to you, showing you a way to actually, safely drop this thing, without making you feel guilty, like you are out of integrity, or like you can no longer support yourself and / or your family.

Do the same thing we did in the previous lesson with the timeline shifting, where we took a past bad memory and we kept exuding and superimposing a vibratory state of love and joy and respect and thankfulness onto that memory—until we saw the image change. Now you are doing the same with the things on your To-Do list that you feel uncertain you can change.

So, imagine the activity you feel you can’t quite drop yet, and superimpose onto it a shit-ton of love, a shit-ton of excitement. And as you do that, as you raise your frequency with that particular activity in your imagination, be really open to your vibration getting so high that, with some of these items, you feel like, “Oh wow—actually, I don’t need to do these things! I can simply drop them, it is safe to drop them, it is within integrity to drop them.”

You will find that creative ideas come in that you had never thought of before, because you had defined this thing in a negative way. Now that you are defining it in a positive way, now that you are exuding and projecting love and light onto it, the nature of that energy vibratory state, of the activity, starts to change. You start to amp-up, and in that higher state of mind, you have access to higher types of thoughts, higher solutions, and higher creativity.

So first of all, some of the things on your list will simply drop away. You’ll be like, “I thought I had to do these things, but I don’t—scratch.” As soon as you feel completion with one of these items, scratch it off your list; just strike it through.

With other things on your list, you will notice you gain ideas you previously did not have access to. These ideas will help you to drop these things as well, without making you feel as if you are sacrificing your integrity or the things you absolutely believe you need to do.

Do this process until, ideally, your whole list is scratched through. If you can’t scratch through the whole list, then move on to the toughest items, which will usually be things like quitting my job or quitting my relationship, or moving to the other side of the world—things like that—things we have projected a lot of logistics onto. Do the same process with these items.

Increase your vibration. Feel so much love and excitement towards these images. As you imagine each of these items, overwhelm your experience with joy, with confidence, with faith, with feeling connected to your Higher Self, with knowing everything is possible, with knowing Infinite Abundance can be.

You will notice that, suddenly, you can even let go of some of the things on your list you believed you couldn’t let go of. And if not, then you will gain at least one new idea per item that you had not thought of before.

Write these things down and act on them to the best of your ability. As soon as you feel you have reached the state where you are absolutely confident that you are dropping one of these things (and maybe you have already dropped it), scratch it off your list.

You can return to this list later, as you might not complete everything on the first day. But do try to do this, because it is a very effective and immediate permission slip to change your life significantly. This single lesson can change your everyday physical life in terms of how much you support yourself, how much you allow yourself to feel worthy of your bliss and your desires to be made manifest. You can’t do this if you are occupying your entire life with things you don’t want to do. So, let this lesson transform your life, let it change you. Give it a chance; really try your best at this exercise.

After you have done this with your list of things you want to change, look at your list of desires. You will already be starting to feel much easier about the items on your desire list after raising your frequency, after dropping certain things you no longer want to do.

You will start to feel easier about the things on your desire list. When you feel absolutely confident that you can and will manifest or execute a particular desire or activity (if you truly still want to), then scratch those items off your list, as well.

Or, if you don’t like the idea of scratching through items on your desire list, you can simply circle them or put a little checkmark in front of them. But mark each item as soon as you feel really solid about your vibratory state having changed significantly enough so that you have shifted timelines. Do it as soon as you feel like you are a different person; that you have a different perspective on the things you love to do. You will feel so much more natural about it; it will be so much more obvious. You will feel, “This is what I want to do; this is what I’m going to do.”

Some of the things from your desire list may actually disappear. As you raise your frequency, you may realize, “Oh, this was simply to compensate for that! But now that I’ve dropped doing this thing that I don’t love to do, this other thing no longer really appeals to me. It now seems like a mediocre desire, and there are so many more exciting things I could be getting into.” That’s great too.

So, be really open. This is a very malleable, flexible practice, but give it all you’ve got; give it the best of your ability, the best of your attention, the best of your devotion and dedication. Keep increasing your frequency with each of the items on both sides of the list, not forgetting the desire side.

Notice which items on the list you still don’t feel comfortable with striking through, putting a checkmark in front of, or circling. These are the things you have limiting ideas about. Write down the limiting beliefs that come up as you think of each of these things. When you think about these things, you will notice that a contraction comes up. A certain negative, limiting belief, rooted in the idea that lack can exist, or that there is a lack of something, will rise to the surface. Write it down and deal with it.

How do you deal with it? Start by seeing that it is not true. Start seeing that it no longer serves you. Understand that it is simply a negative belief that tried to keep you safe for a long time. But it is rooted in lack. It does not feel good, and because it does not feel good, and because you trust in your Higher Self’s guidance, you know it is not true. You remember it is not true and you don’t have to hold on to it. You expand back into connection, into alignment, and you remember how worthy you are of everything you truly desire, and why you are here. You have created yourself as you have created yourself, so you can execute the things that you and your Higher Self truly desire to make manifest, to express here.

This is your creation, my friends. This is your playground, this is your Lego Land, this is your Silly Putty, this is your clay to play with, this is your sandbox. So, feel entitled to your sandbox, feel entitled to your creation, feel entitled, feel empowered, feel worthy of desiring how you wish this sandbox to be experienced. Because it is your creation and you are here to create it according to your own desires.

See this as you deal with your negative beliefs more and more. Put them in contrast to the love and the light of the infinite worth you know you are—because you are inseparable from Existence and you have created yourself to be a Creator. Knowing all these things, remembering the infinite Abundance of Creation, you will start to lighten up your frequency, you will start to transform those negative beliefs into Light, into Love, into Abundance, into positivity, into worthiness, into empowerment.

As you return to the items on your list of things you want to do, you will start noticing that, either you have already started to do them, or now it seems easy and obvious—of course that is what you are going to do! And then, check them off and proceed. Keep doing the things you love to do in your life.

This homework is extensive. Take a few days off from engaging with the lessons if you want to. Maybe repeat this lesson once or twice more, so you really get a good sense of what has been said, what has been suggested, and most importantly, what you can do with it.

Do the homework. Really commit yourself to this homework; it will make a profound change in your life. It will significantly lighten your frequency, simply by doing what I have shared.

So, thank you and have fun!

I love you.
